Mono is an independent jewelry line by two artists named CHIKOTUR and NIXON MARQUEZ.

I met these guys during the F*ck Art show and as I was looking around I saw their pieces and they were a stand - out as well. For one thing they were the only jewelers there. And another thing, everything is hand - made and one of a kind.

There is something raw about their designs. I don't know but it looks good in the store.

Come and see more of what they make in the BBD store! :)

Ichi The Killer

S and M

You scream, I scream.

This movie is a mind fuck. Period. The retinal assault and the play on imagination of this masterful horror flick just ever fails to blow my mind. It's directed by Takashi Miike , wo also directed one of my favorite movies of all tme Ichi The Killer

When I saw this trailer from my friend Sammyburger it reminded me a lot about Paprika's plot about somebody creating a device that gives man the power to go into a person's mind through their dreams.

Inception is about Cobb, an agent who has a team of people who have access to a technology that allows them to enter people’s minds through their dreams.

I don't know much about this movie... But the folding city got me sold!

Paprika is a sci - fi Japanese animation film based on a novel by Yasutaka TsuTsui which he wrote back in 1993. It is directed by Satoshi Kon who did an excellent and revolutionary job with how the movie looked and ran... I was litterally in awe with the animation too by Madhouse Studio.

Paprika the movie was made and screened around 2006. And is about a research psychologist who uses a device that permits therapists to help patients by entering their dreams.

In the near future, a revolutionary new psychotherapy treatment called dream therapy has been invented. A device called the "DC Mini" allows the user to view people's dreams, exploring their unconscious thoughts. The head of the team working on this treatment, Doctor Atsuko Chiba, begins using the machine illegally to help psychiatric patients outside the research facility, using her alter-ego "Paprika", a persona she assumes in the dream world. This movie's plot and twists are quite confusing ... I ended up watching thrice just to understand it and put the strings together and there were still some holes. But in any case... Paprika is not a movie to be understood , same as how a dream is like. It is more of an experience like a dream rather than something logical to understand , like situations whilst you are awake. Paprika is an experience.

I think it's one of the best anime movies I have EVER seen.

Take a look at these bad bones... they are hand sculpted resin pipes by APPRENTICE ( I will write more about him soon enough). APPRENTICE is the padawan of master sculptor Noli who also takes part in LUCKY MONKEY.

These pipes are bio - mech inspired and have all the exoskeleton - al detailing your eyes can bleed for. they don't even look like what they're utilitarian counter parts look like. Each is one of it's kind none are similar.

If you look at the fine details you'd see that he was inspired by the sea and skulls and bones. If you look at the FINER details...you'd figure out how to use them. Some even have holes and you can convert them to neck lace pieces.
These photos are only a fraction of what we have in store. Limited stocks only.

APPRENTICE and CHI CHI will be collaborating soon for a future project. Watch out for that as well.

A few day back I posted about justice , righteousness and a new character I made based on a Care Bear i raped. Still basing the lay out on military aesthetics.

To keep it short and simple. BATAS DEL OSO tees are now available in the Black Book Store 7274 Malugay , SAn Antonio Village. Email or ShoutBox for reservations.

Remember the days of Street Fighter?

Right before you go against Bison , Your character gets to beat up a car if you acquire high enough scores.

One fateful day, Ekis and Chi ranked enough points to go against a VOLKSWAGEN COMVI 1980.

Ekis and Chi vs. ComVi.

Guilty Conscience Tee Coming Soon

Based on Jiminy Cricket , one of my favorite character designs by Walt Disney, I created a Duno version of him jumping into your pocket. It's a minimal approah on the classic pocket tee. I thought of him 'shimy-ing' down your pocket cause i reckoned that's where you should keep your conscience by. Near your heart? NAKS. Seriously though. That's the story. Now be good.

The Guilty Conscience tee will come out soon in Black Book Design Store @ Malugay San Antonio Village.

We are in the final stages of designing this awesome take on the classic character. Hope you can wait until we finish it. If you want one. Just give us a shout at the shout box! Reserve!

Nuno and Chi Chi recently collaborated on a project. Painting for 12 hours straight.
If you look at the fine detail... you can see a little innovation. Bite it hard.

They will be working more together in Black Book Store soon. As of now... Enjoy the EYE SCREAM

Aiater Nancy is classic.

Justice is the quality of being just. It also may be the conformity to the principles of righteousness and rectitude in all things; strict performance of moral obligations; practical conformity to human or divine law. It also lies with the dealings of man with one another. In justice there is equity. Being upright in what you believe in.

There is something called the universal law. The universal law umbrellas virtues such as love, and righteousness and following the rules.. Being righteous is relative. It depends on what the individual believes in. What they stand for and protect. And the reaction against what you believe in is called justice.

In this context to bear is to give forward. to give meaning and intent in order to have effect. Effect on yourself and others. So in the thesis of this post. I have created a mascot for bearing justice. Standing up for what you believe in. I present to you justice the bear. What we will do with it you will see soon. as of now, say hello this is Justice The Bear.

" Basically.. the sole purpose of the message We Live is to let the people know we exist, art exist on the streets, art still lives, graffiti still lives. We want to wake up those who forgot why we are doing art on the streets. Well kanya kanyang perception when it comes to that but still goes under Art on the Streets, Letters on the streets.

Its a twist of mind on one side. It will depend on how the readers will take it. But as long as they can relate to it, that's enough for us. May it be on their passion, family, work or whatever.. as long as they're living, that is for them. US.

About living, here's what i think. its not the air that we breath or how the respiratory system works or how the heart pumps our blood.. its the way we are, what we are doing, its feeling alive on what ever we do.

And on the streets, We Live.
Taking it inside the galleries, magazines, music, fashion, the web.. we are living.

This is not just some paste up project or whatever.. this is an action, movement, propaganda. We want the word out on the streets. We want them not just to see but look. Be aware, be in the know and appreciate.

I like this kind of party.

This movement by my beloved brethren from THE have sparked a new drive for me to get back out on the streets. But not just on the streets, i'll be honest... i was never the most aggressive on that scale of our spectrum. What this movement is telling me is to keep moving. Keep doing what I am doing. Because at the same time I am still representing where I came from. My art on the streets is where I started. What I am doing now is still representing our movement. But now I am jumping all around public and private spaces. So keep breathing, moving and living.

See a few years back we all started in the street... Time passes by and we find more opportunities for ourselves individually in all sorts of forms. At some point in time, some of us dissociated, disappeared and some just flat out stopped. But this is a call to those who are still alive and breathing, this is THE WORLD PEACE MOVEMENT'S wake up call. We are not dead. Street art is not dead. Graffiti is not dead. There are still a number of us pushing pressing, sweating and running to gun it. We LIVE.

Somebody asked me the other day, why isn't KST 's multiply not being updated... and this is the exact reason why.

It's a call not to become a machine but to become an natural organism that exists and expresses and lives to express through and on public spaces. This is WE LIVE. We live through the cracks of your walls on the rooftops of your local quickie mart. On the random light post. We do what we do because we know the reason behind what we are doing. We do what we do because we love the emotion and the passion and the sweat that comes with it. Street art does not belong on the internet. It belongs to the streets. This is relative and debatable but my point applies.

Aaahh.. I love it.. the smell of fresh air... THE's project just gave me an idea. I thank them for refreshing my mind.

To any one of the Black Book supporters who sees the WE LIVE poster please take a picture and send it to THE or BBD . . . we want this movement to mobilize.
