Colorless

Convexed Logo Coca - Cola Can

Ryan Harc or Harc Lee is an industrial designer and product designer from New York.
He envokes human emotion and also strong cultural context in his product designs. As I look at his works and what they are for I see a complete humanitarian philosophy in him rather than a the run o' the mill "efficiency" that really hinders the imagination. He I think, is a well - mixed verse.

This concept of a coke can with a con vexed logo is an amazing piece, it evokes emotion and at the same time , a modern worldly view. The fact that it is naked, can ultimatley reduce water and air pollution that is part of the coloring process. Instead of coloring the cans, manufacturers create branders as they bust out these cans.

Personally, it gives a more expensive and classic look to an otherwise, usually over - looked and over popularized package.

THE clothing x Nuno. THE Takeover

Nuno the destroyer

The - Etymology: Middle English, from Old English the, masculine demonstrative pronoun & *definite article*. It is used as a function word to indicate that a following noun is a unique or a particular member of its class. - webster dictionary.

T H E clothing the three letter Phillipine brand that is on it's way for the takeover of the retail market. They have been busting out shirts that have been selling like pancakes also in part because of the artists they have collaborated with (yours truly included). They have taken advantage of an innovative creative concept and made it their own. You have to see this hard work children. See this , take it and eat it.

Now speaking of taking over, you get a hungry beast like THE clothing and mix it with an aggressive , and prolific warrior and what you have is a bulldozer. Finally the time has come, THE clothing has collaborated with Nuno. Who is Nuno? Well if you don't know by now, look around your city. If you didn't know, NOW you kNOw.

Kid Dragon

Kid Dragon is the future of piecing in the Philippines. His letter styles are on point, and progressive. If somebody's A.D.D.actually benefit them, then the KID has something beautiful coming out of that energy. This is why I admire his work, because he can express the energy within him and make that shit pop out into a wall. Albeit young he has learned to have a solid letter form and evolves style - wise into a rate that is above par. The factor that separates him from the rest of the pack is the concepts and execution of his pieces are of high grade quality. As one of the younger members of KST , he has shown that age does not matter. And that there may be another species in local graffiti that is evolving.

Now in the local scene there are lovers and haters, Kid Dragon has both equally divided.
Opinions may be thrown left and right about this talent but all must learn that you shouldn't hate what you can't imitate.

Honey Comb Hideout

Honey Comb Hideout | A Blackbook Design x Bee Eyes Mixtape

Good Morning! Here's another mixtape (mixtape 3) for everyone who likes spending they're sweet time honey dipping with their honeybee or honeybees. What does this mean? Well i mean here's something for the ladies. This week's theme is a guy and a girl, spending some quality time... wherever they may spend that. This mixtape is by Julius Valledor ( I must commend him for the awesome jacket also) of Bee Eyes

The songs are down tempo and chilled-out... Perfect for a walk and a cup of tea. I swear to god I listened to this mixtape from start to finish. This mixtape mixes some indie, hip - hop and some opm (which i think is pretty awesome). Support your local I say. But anyway, it features Mayer Hawethorne , who is an up and coming soul soother who was influenced by the motown bands. He was also given the stamp of approval by Snoop Dogg himself. Count Bass D's How We Met , is a must listen. And I realized that Narda was an amazing band before. Sad they had to go the "dancy" direction, says Julius. And then, it flows to Cibo Matto and just ends smoothly. I hope you enjoy this mixtape, next week's mix is on the burner.

This one's for the ladies. And for the pursuers and lovers out there, always remember;
"For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction"

Vael Project In Manila

Terminatrix
Brogue Boot
Deckard Boot

Vael Project was created by Coleman Horn , who was a former senior designer for brands like Nike and Ralph Lauren. Coleman Horn also notes, Shawn Stussy as a direct unofficial partner when designing the Vael Project sneakers. Vael Project is an up and coming shoe brand that was launched as early back as Autumn/Winter 08. This brand is relatively fresh and their concepts and direction for creating products is influenced by the love for diversity that mixes brownshoe or "classic" shoes with the sneaker aesthetics. But the difference between a Vael Project shoe and other sneakers out there is that , design wise... There is no shoe that is for everybody. every shoe they offer is a cross - breed of the classic Ralph Lauren western lifestyle i.e. woodsy / cowboy / americana , Nike's eye for technicality in design and also Timberland's functional sentiments. Each shoe supports a look. There may be a boot or a deck shoe or a tennis shoe but the diversity in styles is what makes this brand so interesting.

This type of shoe is not for the eye of a sneaker - head that is dedicated to the common skate-board or basketball shoe but for people who have a good eye for a classic and at the same time fresh design. It'll take a little getting used to for the Philippine masses but that's not really why I appreciate things like these. I'm really digging the Deckard Boot and the Brogue Boot as it fits my style. I'm already on my way to get one. What's good about these sneakers and it's design diversities is that you can tyle them whichever way you like as it does not shove a look upon you because of it's "classic" feel.

The best thing about this brand is that it's available here now. You can check their facebook page so you can schedule a private viewing.

Read more about them as they were featured in slamxhype.com and see the heat they can produce on VaelProject.com.

I Guess Somebody's Doing Something Right.

"You say you want a revolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it's evolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world" - John Lennon's Revolution

There are different times in history where in an incident sparks a war. There are sometimes in history where in a signature on a memorandum drops a bomb and gives the world their first glimpse of the power of human creativity as a tool for what could be a man-made apocalypse. But there are some strokes in life where - in a single gesture of the hand accompanied by just a passion for being , leaves an imprint on the planet. Or in this case, people's awareness. It takes time... It takes persistence. It takes real human dedication focused into a certain aspect in life to create even just a tiny snowball. But when this snowball gets bigger just keeps rolling, there is no way in hell you can stop it.

So I guess now, two years into it... KST and PSP the philippines, or at least the immediate media is now taking into consideration what these people have been fighting for. And yes, some may argue that two years is not a very long time, I never said the fight has burned out of them. The fight for the rights to express street - art and graffiti culture is young here in the philippines. The soldiers, fresh and plentiful. But albeit the metaphor of war, there was a light of hope in the shape of an article (one which reminds me of the stories told of the days of TAKI in NY / how the graff scene exploded.) ironically, involving the child of revolutionary parents acknowledges the presence of graffiti and street - art here in the phillipines. In a nutshell, author Alfred A. Yuson writes about NOYNOY Aquino addressing the presence of graffiti. click here : READ THE ARTICLE ON PHILSTAR.COM TO KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT.

Urban Decay

There are things around your city that you don't see. There are things around your city that are there but you wil never have a glimpse of because you are too caught up looking straight. You are too caught up thinking about yourself and what you have to do to get through your day. You never look around, above , below , left or right. And you never look into or beyond. If you learn to open your eyes you will see people in the form of signs. If you look around you will see more than what you want to see. Look around. They say hello. What do you see?

IRONLAK PAINT - hmm.. interesting

Colour identification made easy with donuts.
Ironlak - Interior/Exterior Paint
Ironlak is a product developed by the team at AVT Paints Pty Ltd. Conception of the product began in 2001 and after three years of research and development Ironlak was released in Australia. Ironlak is Australia's first and preferred aerosol paint manufactured purely for an art-based audience. With affordability, quality and value for money in mind, it has grown from conception to reality and is now the market leader.
Ironlak has been developed with the artists needs in mind. Whilst primarily attention is focused on producing a top quality line of paint, we also understand (from our own experience) most artists are not wealthy. We believe we offer an awesome product, for an even better price. Ironlak cans come ready with an outliner and two fill nozzles in place to help you get out there painting quicker and save you even more money. Much of the development time has been focused on getting the valve right. After testing many variables and combinations we have produced a can with a valve and cap system capable of both high and low pressure output depending on the desired result.

What's so special about Ironlak? The pigmentation in this paint is more than normal brands making the colors pop out more. On the other hand, the pressure on the can is low, making it easier to create details for the pieces. Nice.
