I Think It Left Some Glitter On My Eye

I've always wanted to live in Japan, it might be the bright lights, the famous streets of lore where so much indpendent culture sprung out of. It might be the lure of the zen mentality or the samurai way of living. It might even be my love for Japanese food. I've always wanted to live in Japan. In the future I foresee this as the country I'd want to end up being lost in. Lost in translation would be a pretty harassing but somewhat interesting experience as well I reckon. In this sprawling city, there is a mystique that i want to experience in between it's streets. Oh yeah this video is some what awesome.. I lost myself there..

Quasar

For some reason, timed lighting gets to me. This video made Envis Precisely for WEAVE magazine is one of them. I suggest you watch this in full screen.

"It is an audiovisual composition that is based on a single set of MIDI notes. Those notes influence both music and graphics at the same time. We did not take the usual route of creating a piece of music first and then find some visualization for it; instead both elements have been developed at the same time. When we decided to change something with the graphics, the changes immediately influenced the music as well."

L'amour Se Meurt

The thrill of a chase can influence many. The dogma of religion, the promised life after death; that is a chase. The goal of some to be filthy rich. Yes, that is an understatement. Oh let's play with that idea, the goal to be filthy rich combined with the dogma of religion i think that equals to the cults or independent religious sectors. I think that is a great example of the thrill of the chase influencing many. The search for a criminal, The seeking for the truth, self improvement and the Secret.

Yes the chase for something, the charge to a destination it is epic. But not everyone will make it to the end. If what was being chased was whiskey, we would all be the ice cubes that it is poured down upon...we will melt till we mix with what is poured until all of us have melted away. Which ice cube will be left until all that delicious whiskey is gone? I guess it doesn't matter to some, but then again, it matters to most because if not, why would people always run after something they may or may not get at the end? This is the thrill of it and this is life. You will get hurt.

Yann Perreau is a band from Montreal Quebec , Canada. This video for their song L'amour se meurt is well executed even with a simple concept.

eyelids

Based on a children's book written by Brad Bischoff. This short film is about an artist who falls in love with a girl and wishes to be her eyelids more so than a partner. Giving a bigger meaning of presence in a person's life rather than just a partner... who would have ever thought that just being a small part in a person's anatomy, could mean so many things? What more if they were part of your life? Eyelids is a story about relationships. To me, it is a confession of being content by just being a part of someone's life.

Postlerferguson - Weapons Of Mass Creation

It's a busy week ahead of me.. These videos ought to keep me inspired. Hope you all be inspired too. Enjoy!

Thank you to the people of Gestalten.tv for sending me this video!

I haven't seen many dreamers around lately. I think dreamers have been washed away by the currents of time and the repetition of routines. A dreamer has been over - shadowed by the problems of the world. It's slowly being flushed down by every generation, growing old - and slowly relying on survival rather than imagination. What is survival? Survival is a noun. Survival is the habit of being. Go ahead and argue with me, a dream is not reality. I say make it reality. Make it what it should be. I say dream with bright colors and dream with a themed setting like a movie. Dream in black and white and see things clearly. But when awake, dream of dreams that can be reality. I talk about survival, and i talk about dreaming. But what about the survival of dreaming? They say to dream is dead. No one talks about it so they assume that it is forgotten. Well it it's been forgotten. No one teaches it so they think that it isn't real.

Everyday, I meet new people and everyday I talk to people I already know. Still they make me dream. Dreamers have been blotted out. I want to change all that. I hope you do too. . Change it by dreaming. Dreaming everyday. Dreaming with our hands and dreaming with our minds. There are changes in our world everyday...scientific findings and daily occurrences that ultimately lead to the most exciting time in the existence of our planet. This is absolutely the most exciting time to be alive. So whatever you do, don't be bored. Ever. Dream.

IRONLAK PAINT - hmm.. interesting

Colour identification made easy with donuts.
Ironlak - Interior/Exterior Paint
Ironlak is a product developed by the team at AVT Paints Pty Ltd. Conception of the product began in 2001 and after three years of research and development Ironlak was released in Australia. Ironlak is Australia's first and preferred aerosol paint manufactured purely for an art-based audience. With affordability, quality and value for money in mind, it has grown from conception to reality and is now the market leader.
Ironlak has been developed with the artists needs in mind. Whilst primarily attention is focused on producing a top quality line of paint, we also understand (from our own experience) most artists are not wealthy. We believe we offer an awesome product, for an even better price. Ironlak cans come ready with an outliner and two fill nozzles in place to help you get out there painting quicker and save you even more money. Much of the development time has been focused on getting the valve right. After testing many variables and combinations we have produced a can with a valve and cap system capable of both high and low pressure output depending on the desired result.

What's so special about Ironlak? The pigmentation in this paint is more than normal brands making the colors pop out more. On the other hand, the pressure on the can is low, making it easier to create details for the pieces. Nice.

SWOON

Thank you so much to Anne and the good people of Gestalten.tv for sending me this video!

Swoon is a street artist from New York who specializes in wheat pasting and focuses on the negative and positive spaces of her illustrations and cut - outs of people in the streets. She understands that there is a certain connection between viewer and the subject on the street and this is what she tries to evoke in my opinion. She is working on a new "boat" project with justseeds (her art collective) and also with other artists. Swoon is one of the most prolific sticker/wheat paste artists today. But she is a different breed of artist in this context as I am glad to see that she is not only doing the visual aspect of street art. But also the conceptual as well seen in her previous work.

This kind of street artist, street context and awareness will I hope one day seep out from the cracks of this city. Don't get me wrong, there already are some out there. I'll feature them soon so keep glued.
